Kit of Parts

The Kit of Parts (KoP) is a set of materials provided by FIRST to all teams after the kickoff each year. It contains several standard parts that may be used for building the robot.

Materials

The exact contents of the Kit vary every year, but usually include some of these standard materials:

• Aluminum pieces for building the robot's frame
• The control system:
  • Robot controller (cRIO since 2009)
  • Driver station
• Electronics:
  • Wires, connectors, and so on
  • Batteries
  • Power distribution system
  • Speed controllers and motors
  • Pneumatics
• Software
• Branding materials (such as stickers to place on the robot)
